Flagstaff was established as the county seat of Coconino County in 1891, but was named in 1884 after a new depot was built and the town formed up around it. For some reason the town's only national bank was opened in 1917 and lasted into 1931. The note is an excellent example with stamped signatures. It appears there is a parenthesis around the printed word "cashier" under the officer's signatures. There are 10 large and one small notes reported, but I cannot recall my last opportunity to obtain or handle a note from this town. From the Huntoon Collection.
