This pen signed $20 Brown Back is clearly the best note on this bank that has 23 large notes reported. A fresh, fresh note with excellent color, body, centering and pen signatures makes you want to shout with joy. There are three $10s and one $20 Brown Back known. Ottawa was incorporated in 1853 and saw its share of abolitionist activity. There was a major stop for the Underground Railroad, as Ottawa lies at the confluence of the Illinois and Fox Rivers, as well as near the Illinois-Michigan Canal. It was the site of the first Lincoln-Douglas debate in 1858.
