Grade: F/VF
This McClean County bank issued only 1,771 sheets and by 1935 the large outstanding was only $750. The signatures are quite clear and it appears that the president's was resigned later in life. Danvers was originally known as Concord and was one of eight towns platted in McLean County between 1835 and 1837. For over thirty years it was in competition with its rival neighbor, Wilkesborough. The name was changed in 1861, following significant growth, and Danvers was incorporated in 1869.
Current Bid: $ 2,500.00
