A decent, evenly circulated and pen signed note, 1 of the 23 large notes recorded. There are several others about the same grade. Settlers first arrived in what would become Galesburg in 1836 and by 1837 had established the first anti-slavery society in Illinois. It was the site of the fifth Lincoln-Douglas debate as well as the birthplace of poet and author Carl Sandburg.
