I just love the look of this note and how it speaks to me for so many reasons, which include rarity, type, appearance, signatures and the fact that this has been around well before National Bank Notes. This is the only Red Seal recorded and is the best offered of the five large notes known. Officer signatures of David Weideman, President and A.F. Davenport, Cashier. What a jewel! Equality was the seat of Gallatin County from 1826 until 1847 when Saline County was formed. It was near the site of the Great Salt Springs, which brought the town much early success.
