Lot #1273 - Gilman, First NB, 5856

National Bank Notes > Illinois

Gilman, First NB, 5856
Fr. 490 $10 1882BB
Grade: XF +
This is the only $10 Brown Back known from this charter, but there is also a $20. This note is wonderful and has lovely pen signatures of Dwight L. Parker, President and R.M. Pollack, Cashier. There are two tiny rust spots on the back margin that are inconsequential. Gilman is a city in Douglas Township, Iroquois County. Gilman was laid out in the fall of 1857. The town of Gilman was founded at the point where the Peoria and Oquawka Railroad would soon cross the Illinois Central Railroad.
Current Bid: $ 1,400.00
