Here we have the large brown seal fifty after the "L" has been removed and the seal has been enlarged. Twenty of the 28 listed in the census are in collectors hands, three of which are certainly better than this lovely example. The best of those three was in the Rickey Collection sale in October 2005. This note was part of the James A. Stack Collection which sold in 1990. It is an honest, unmolested circ note that has a couple of pinholes, but it would go well with virtually any black back set that can be assembled. In January 2000 an AU brought $44,000.
