This serial #1 Red Seal has appeared twice at auction over the last 14 years, the last time being 7 years ago. Surprisingly, it is the only note of the six known to be offered at a public sale. The rest of the #1 sheet is recorded, along with a lower grade single Red Seal and one $20 Plain Back. All those other notes have traded privately, if at all. So it seems if you want a note on this bank, this is your choice. Fortunately, it is an attractive specimen with a few insignificant faults, such as pinholes and some tiny margin splits. Signed by J. F. Green, VP, and F. P. Berger, Cashier. F. P. Berger later became the bank's President in 1906.
