This was the recharter of #22 from June 1882 where it started by issuing Brown Backs and only a single example is known. This is the next earliest known note and it's a peach. The quality is so lovely I doubt that any of the 29 large notes reported could be better. The president's signature is stamped while the cashier's is penned. The $5 Brown Back in the DeGood sale realized $7,000 hammer and this note realized just under $1,900 in 2004. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
