Charter #22 First NB of Ann Arbor
National Bank Notes > Michigan
Ann Arbor, First NB, 22
Fr. 380 $1 Original
Grade:
VG/Fine
This is the state's earliest national bank and those chartered under #100 are highly collected. The bank was chartered in 1863 and liquidated in 1882, when it was re-chartered as #2774. An important example of national bank history. This is likely equal in quality to all known examples. There are five $5s and a two $1s known from this desirable bank. When a newly discovered Ace sold last year it brought $6,900, yet the $5 from the DeGood collection realized $10,500. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
