This First Charter is one of four First Charters from the second bank chartered in the state capital. The bank was in business from 1864 to 1884 and issued a few Brown Backs before it closed. This note came from Heritage in 2005 when it realized $11,500. Apparently they missed some restoration on the right end. Since that time two others have appeared at auction. Excellent pen signatures on this example from the Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
Current Bid:
$ 9,000.00
Estimate:
($ 6,000.00 - $ 12,000.00)
