This note has it all, and let me tell you about it. The bank was chartered in 1925, but the plate has a date of 1924! The town no longer exists; it was changed to St. Clair Shores. The bank title was changed as well in 1927. So there you have it, a great name that I have never seen before, an engraving error and the town no longer exists. That's enough to generate lots of interest, with only three national banks with this title. The pen signatures are light. This is the finest of the three notes reported. This note realized $7,700 in a 2001 Smythe sale and the DeGood example brought $6,325. The Dr. Wallace Lee Collection.
