This is the only Red Seal known on Coeur d'Alene, one of the more interesting town names to be found in the state. A tough state for Red Seals, this type was the first issued by the Exchange National Bank, with a printing of 2,372 sheets of all denominations through the $20. A section of the face shows evidence of having been carried in a wallet, but that is also the likely reason for its survival. We can find no record of this note ever having been offered at auction before, so consider this an opportunity not to be missed. Excellent pen signatures of William Dollar, President, and C. J.
