Rexburg is a small town in Madison County that had the bank save the early notes. Consequently, with 1,650 sheets of $5-$5-$5-$5 and 1,200 sheets of $10-$10-$10-$20, the survival rate is quite high. However, only the #1 $5-$5-$5-$5 sheet is known and it's been cut. This is the "B" note, last offered in the D. Lyon sale in April, 1997. I remember the Long Beach show where these appeared sitting with Curt Iverson and Jack Everson in utter amazement, and I still feel the same way. What a great note to have. There are only 17 Red Seals known for the state of Idaho, eight are #1 notes and four are from Rexburg.
