1938 Bronze Medal, Honeycutt-289, Basso-839 AE, 44mm. By C. Zamora. Official medal for the inauguration of the Manila Legaspi Railroad Line, May 1938. Obverse: Train at Mt. Mayon at center inscription naming Manila Railroad Company. Reverse: Inscription about the event and naming President Quezon. The are a couple of minor rough spots but is has some patina that is quite lovely. This medal has always been considered among the scarcest and best designed of all Philippine medallic art. Freshly graded and housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder.
