1943 Bronze Medal, Honeycutt-321, Basso-165 AE, 44.08g. Japanese Occupation Bronze Medal. By C. Zamora. With a mintage of only 2,000, Struck to commemorate the appointment of Laurel to the "Puppet" Presidency of the Philippines by the Japanese. Obverse: Bust of Jose Laurel facing left, "JOSE PACIANO LAUREL" above; Reverse: Flag of the Philippines, legend above, date below. This representative has some appealing patina on both sides and is a pleasure when viewing under bright light. Freshly graded and housed in a PCGS Gold Shield holder.
