Carbondale, First NB, 9009
Fr. 652 $20 1902ND
Grade:
VF/XF
This jewel is one of the three large notes reported that is listed without a grade, and it's the finest known, by a mile, with the appearance of an UNC on the face and wonderful pen signatures. Quality like this deserves serious interest. The Mayer Collection example was a VG/Fine and when we sold it agin in March 2010 it brought $6,325. This note has no comparison. Carbondale was named by John Mankin, one of the founders, for his home in Pennsylvania.
