New York Bank of the State of New York $5 Proof
Grade: PCGS Apparent Abt. New 58
Printed on India paper only which likely accounts for the presence of a few glue spots seen on the back. Enormously margined and with great centering giving it the look of a Gem. We see a couple of light bends but nothing that would drop this down to an AU grade. Multiple allegorical women bare more than the 21st century would allow, giving this proof some rather provocative vignettes. A very scarce proof and one of only a handful that we have seen over the years and quite possibly just about the nicest.
