Boulder, First NB, 2352
Fr. 1803-1 $50 1929T1
Grade:
VF/XF
This bank began in 1877 by issuing $5 notes from the 1875 Series, but by the time the Brown Backs were being printed, they had decided to issue $50s and $100s only, a decision that remained in force for the remainder of the bank's existence. The Track and Price census of 22 small notes does not include this note, which happens to be a lightly circulated and problem-free example. From the Rocky Mountain Collection. ---- Adventurers seeking their fortune in gold came to Boulder in 1858. A settlement grew up to supply miners in the mountains to the west. The name came from the abundance of large rocks in the area.
