$5 1934-D I Minneapolis
Grade:
Ch. AU
The Minneapolis note has the lowest printing of any district in this series and could prove to be a real sleeper. The Atlanta notes from the 1934-D series have been long recognized as rare, even though twice as many of those were printed than were printed for the Minneapolis district. Very little research has been done on the small FRNs, so it is a guess as to how rare this might be. While the note appears to be a full margined Gem, a faint vertical fold can be barely seen at the left. Don't let that dissuade you, for even the famed Thompson collection failed to contain an uncirculated example.
