January 1, 1863. Unlisted $1 note on the Lee Bank. Here is a lovely example of a quality item on this bank. It may be the only note of this issue known with a green overprint. This 1863 note issued was cancelled with P/Cs saying 'PAID'. It is amazing that the serial is #31719 but we have not seen an example of the note before.
