January 15, 1862. No. 8336. 150 G8a. American Bank Note Company. A classic Polar Bear, note that along with Santa Claus, notes are among the most heavily desired obsolete notes. This offering, while well circulated, still retains nice appeal despite the grade. PCGS found no reason to attribute an apparent grade as the edge splits and stains are certainly acceptable at this level. Finer material escalates quickly in price so this example will afford the collector a nice opportunity without a record setting price.
