Hessler X128 unlisted. Washington. November 6, 1861. Twenty year bond at 6% semi-annually. This item was previously described by Stack's as follows, "Composed of hand drawn texts and built up India paper and sepia elements, with coupons. On large size Bristolboard (impressed crown in circle). The bond proper frame is red India paper elements. The texts are drawn in black. The top central vignette is a sepia Salmon P. Chase as used on the $500. The counters are red. The two lower corners are sepia photos, mounted on board, similar to those used on the Interest Bearing essays. No coupons are drawn, only the other coupons are lined and divided in pencil." There is a heavy horizontal fold in the center of the coupon area, causing splitting on each end.
