The boardwalk margins found on this example is certainly not the norm. The note shows even circulation and has no blemishes or heavy folds. The Fr. 126 has but 44 reported notes in the census, about a quarter of the population of the more available Fr. 126b. If you are looking for a mid-grade $20 1863, you could not find a more suitable note. PCGS has noted some minor edge restorations, which is certainly the case, but they are so small and well done, one would be hard pressed to point them out.
