Bennington was formed in Bryan County in what was once the Indian Territory. There are nine large notes reported on the bank, including two Territorials. This note is the lower grade of the two known. It has signatures but they are hard to read. The new Bennington was established closer to the railroad and in 1903, which is the plate date on this note, there were 250 residents. That's crazy...just 250 residents and their own national bank!
