18__. Despite being an unauthorized bank, this association issued notes in the late 1850s. This proof note has wonderful vignettes and nice inks and paper. Four punch cancels appear on the officer signature lines and the "Property of American bank Note Co." is stamped in red on the back. There is a small tape repair on the lower right of the note. Listed as an issued note in Haxby under AS-120, G2a.
