18__. Even though they were an unauthorized bank, this association issued notes in the late 1850s. This proof note has great vignettes, nice inks, and strong paper. Four punch cancels appear on the officer signature lines and the "Property of American Bank Note Co." is stamped in red on the back. A small tear along the upper margin has been repaired with tape. Listed only as a proof in Haxby under AS-120, G4a.
