August 3, 1858. A certificate of deposit note from this Terre Haute bank that had some connection with the Keokuk Exchange Bank. The paper on this certificate has aged, especially along the top margin. According to Wolka, this is a scarcer variety that does not have the statement "Stockholders Individually Liable. "There is a small hole punch cancel at the upper left. Haxby lists this bank as IN-635 but does not list individual notes.
