September 2, 1861. For the grade this is one of the nicest examples we can ever recall having seen in recent memory. While T-17 notes are often seen in the F/VF grade range they don't usually have color this bright and with no problems whatsoever. The allure of this piece is that it is fully framed on all sides, with a majority of these notes being found poorly cut. A real treasure for the ultimate circulated type set that factors eye appeal over mere technical grade.
