An incredible new discovery from a district for which no single digits are known for any denomination of the 1928 series Feds. This lovely note turned up recently after having been sequestered in an unknown holding for several generations. We were stunned at the arrival of this note, for heretofore the only low numbers known from Richmond in any denomination were a few double-digit $20s. That this lovely note is kept from the Gem designation by a virtually imperceptible center fold hardly matters, as it is unique as a single digit from this district in any denomination. A real prize for the many collectors who will vie for this item tonight.
