A gorgeous example of this tougher early Confederate type that has not oxidized as so many do and whose problems are relatively minor. What is so fascinating about this note is that it is fully framed, a fact that we do not discover on many examples of this type. The price jumps dramatically once one gets to the VF grade as evidenced by the last example we sold, a PCGS Apparent VF 30 that realized $2,760 a little over a year ago. Minor ink erosion repair in right signature, small edge splits.
