A very challenging high denomination note from this more desirable early New Jersey issue. PCGS lists some problems on the holder, none of which are particularly discernible, even when the note is held to a light source. As it lays, it looks like a gorgeous red and black note with excellent detail, bold signatures and far better detail than what we ever see on these notes. With only 1834 issues of this denomination, it is not surprising that Newman values this at $750 in VF.
