Hole punch cancel. This is the scarcer 1776 Codfish issue and this is one of the nicest examples we have ever seen of this denomination. Bright and wonderfully centered with great printing detail on both sides. Easily a four-figure note if uncancelled and quite possibly still is even with the cancel. Newman values this at $2,500 in UNC.
