Codfish issue. The 1776 Codfish notes are much tougher to obtain than are the more common 1778 notes. This one is moderately circulated and very well-margined. The pence denomination notes from this issue are a much tougher animal to acquire. Newman values this at $600 in VF. Previously from 2002 FUN sale, Lot 245, where it realized $529.
