A fully margined and very colorful example of this much scarcer denomination and type. The 4 Pound note is the highest denomination from this issue and also the most challenging to obtain. Couple that with the fact that the red and black notes are far more desirable and you have the makings of a desirable piece. PCGS notes: edge splits, tears, tape repair, stain. Newman lists this at $500 in VF and $1,000 in XF.
