New York Continental Bank $2 Proof
Grade: PCGS Gem New 65 PPQ
Haxby 1550-G4. A rare Proof in an unheard of state of preservation. Evocative vignettes are seen throughout and which are flanked by circular portraits at each side beneath. The Continental Bank became the First Continental Bank in 1865. We have only seen a couple others, with the $5 Proof in the Newman collection selling for $2820. That note was in AU condition and this example is vastly superior.
