New York Phenix Bank $2 Proof

Haxby 1880-G102. A more ornate style than the examples we so commonly see. On this note, the Phenix has risen to the top and is coming out of the flames. Intricate scrollwork seen at right with a couple of cut-out cancels at the signature lines. A very rare early Proof type with this particular note originally seen in a Stacks sale a dozen years ago.
