Tombstone, Arizona Territory Russ House Ad Note

c. 1885. A fantastic ad note on the back of a facsimile Confederate 50c of 1864 issue. The Russ House was a famous Tombstone Hotel and Restaurant run by Joseph Pacholy and Nellie Cashman. Nellie Cashman was one of Tombstone s more colorful female entrepreneurs. She was honored on a U.S. 29c postage stamp in 1994. The Russ House building, now known as the Nellie Cashman Restaurant, still stands in Tombstone. A wonderful piece of Arizona Territorial history.
