Low Denomination Note Top Pop at PMG
Colonial Currency > Virginia
VA-210 $10 May 7, 1781
Grade:
PMG AU 55 EPQ
An astounding example of the lowest denomination note from this final Virginia colonial issue. Top Pop at PMG as it is the only one they have graded and one of only three graded by both services combined. These low denomination notes are really deceptively scarce and there are few of any denomination that can match this note in terms of both technical merit and aesthetic beauty. A superior example with mountainous embossing and some of the boldest printing that we have ever witnessed. In our CPMX sale we sold the only note deemed to be better; a PCGS Choice AU 58PPQ that realized $1380. The present note should perform just as well if not better; it sold for $920 over half a dozen years ago in a HA sale.
