This is the best of seven $5 Brown Backs reported on this early St. Louis bank that has 20 large notes reported. The others are all First Charters and only one note, an 1875 $10, appears to rival this note for top on the bank. This lovely note has wonderful pen signatures as well as a fantastic overall look and appeal.
