It has been well over two years since we were last able to offer one of these popular Brown Seal $50s in uncirculated condition. Virtually all the nice uncirculated Fr. 161s appear to come from a single half-pack in the #A448521-572 range. The remaining dozen or so notes in the census are in various circulated grades outside of that range. This is a lovely example with large even margins, the kind that are normally found only on Gem '65' or '66' graded notes. Since there are no faults mentioned on this PPQ note, you can assume that the Choice grade was given due to some minor handling issues. Destined to bring a strong price, as this note is far nicer than your usual Ch. UNC piece. Expect a result more like what a '65 PPQ' is worth, which historically has been in the $21,000-$28,000 range.
