This note was part of Lot 174 in the Grinnell sale where it realized $625, a king's ransom compared to other notes. The mate to this note, the $10/$20 now resides in the Higgins Museum in Okoboji, Iowa. this note is slightly circulated, with some evidence on the back of the folds. This is a rare town in Otter Tail County with only seven 1902 issues, and then the two Double Denominations. No other Double Denominations are known from this state. This note has been off the market since the Levitan sale in 1998 where it realized $17,600. Today you just can't find any to buy.
