Of the ten large notes recorded on this one-bank town, only three are Red Seals. The First National Bank of Crescent City was a small bank with a total issue of just $369,730 for the 31 years that it served the community. Of that, 1,200 sheets were $10-$10-$10-$20 Red Seals, the first type issued by the bank. This note has a great look, but has two margin tears at the bottom, hardly a reason to pass. Excellent pen signatures of Peter McDermott, President, and W. R. Nightingale, Cashier. A postcard of the bank's exterior is included.
