This is a rare bank with only five large notes reported, with the last one offered seven years ago. Excellent red signatures more than make up for the small edge splits and lower left corner tip gone. Originally Marysville, Potomac was unofficially renamed when a post office was opened in the settlement with that name in 1871. Record of the name change was not filed with the county clerk until 1906.
