This is the second title for this charter that shows 11 large notes recorded. This note has excellent black signatures of the vice president and cashier. Originally Huntley s Grove, then DeKalb Centre, DeKalb was incorporated in 1856 as a village. It has been the home of Northern Illinois University since 1895 and is noted as being the home of Joseph Glidden, the father of barbed wire and has had a continuously-performing city band since 1854.
