A lovely bank note with exceptional color and originality. One of 125 large notes reported and with printed signatures, W.E. Stone, President. There is a broad corner tip fold. Peoria is one of the oldest settlements in Illinois, beginning as Fort Clark in 1813. It has had a long history of industry, with early mills, pork processing and distilleries as early as 1837. It is the home of the world headquarters of the Caterpillar Corporation from 1910.
