T-2 $500 June 18, 1861 Montgomery
Grade: PCGS VF 30 Apparent
This is one of the two 'Holy Grail' notes of the CSA and there were only two $500s issued and signed by the Treasurer and Register by then. The vignette is of cattle crossing a brook with a train on a bridge in the background. Blank reverse. This note looks beautiful in overall quality. There has been some repaired splits and it has some writing removed from the back. PCGS notes: repaired splits, writing in ink removed on back.
