There were only 607 notes issued and this was the only $1,000 with the signatures of the Treasurer, Elmore and Register, Clitherall. Vignettes on this green and black note are of Statesman John C. Calhoun of South Carolina at the left and Andrew Jackson, President of the US at the right. Blank reverse. Excellent quality with near perfect restoration. PCGS notes: cross-cut cancelled, cancellations repaired, small edge splits.
