An extremely rare bank in Saugannon County with only four large notes recorded, and this note is arguably the best. It has one stamped and one penned signature. The serial #2 realized nearly $10,000 in 2007. Divernon s name originates from Diana Vernon, a character in the Sir Walter Scott novel Rob Roy. It owes its early development to the Illinois Central Railroad and a large coal mine.
