There are 15 large notes recorded on this bank but only three $100s. This is the only Date Back and is very nice looking. Officer signatures of R.B. Arannington (?), President and M.L. Forsyth, Cashier. Dixon was initially settled as Dixon s Ferry and had turbulent beginnings as a major strategic encampment during the Black Hawk War in 1832.
